SONOMA COUNTY, CA—First Responders Resiliency, Inc.® (FRRI) is pleased to announce that they have partnered with the Fire Agencies Self Insurance System (FASIS) and the Local Agency Workers’ Compensation Excess JPA (LAWCX) to provide member districts with access to a program providing first-of-its-kind training and support designed to prevent and mitigate the effects of stress and trauma on first responders and their families.
Over the next 9 months, there will be seven full-day trainings presented by First Responders Resiliency, Inc., which provides evidence-based education, skills, techniques, and tools to educate first responders in professional and personal resilience. These trainings have the potential to reach over 1,000 first responders from all regions of California.
The partnership between these three organizations, FRRI, FASIS, and LAWCX, represents a shift in the accessibility of preventative behavioral wellness training and tools for first responders.

The Fire Agencies Self Insurance System (FASIS) and the Local Agency Workers’ Compensation Excess JPA (LAWCX) are state-wide joint powers authorities collectively self-insuring and pooling the workers’ compensation losses for 240 California public entities with safety personnel (police and/or fire).
